Make-up has always been a passion for Phoenix Renata. From a very young age she has been dedicated to working as a make-up artist and designing her own make-up brand.

Leaving school early to pursue her career in the make-up industry, Phoenix has worked alongside and learnt from some of New Zealand’s finest make-up artists After graduating at Auckland’s Cut Above academy, Phoenix went on to freelance in the areas of fashion make-up. Her background includes work for prestigious cosmetic companies such as M.A.C and Christian Dior. She has worked for numerous New Zealand fashion designers, and in the film and television industries, as well as teaching and management experience.

Phoenix’s creative talents let her to pursue her childhood dream of designing a cosmetic label for New Zealand women. It took Phoenix 2 1/2 years of hard work and extensive overseas travel to develop the Phoenix product range. Today she is in her element, creating innovative products, running her Beauty School, training her staff and developing the Phoenix label into a well-recognised brand.

Named the ‘Eyebrow Queen’ by colleagues and clients, Phoenix is a specialist in eyebrows and has shaped the brows of many well-known models, even fellow make-up artists. Phoenix is also a beauty editor/writer, check out her latest beauty advice in HerMag & Pink magazines.

Phoenix is the only Makeup Artist to have her own Makeup Show at New Zealand Fashion Week. She single handedly built Phoenix Cosmetics into a makeup empire, and continues to work on various fashion and makeup projects alongside running her cosmetics company and beauty school.
